The Arizona Cardinals remain in playoff contention heading into the final weeks of the season. As the team works toward that goal, starting quarterback Carson Palmer is trying to get back into action after suffering an injury to his non-throwing arm that required surgery. When Palmer was placed on IR back in October, the Cardinals expected him to miss the remainder of the season, along with running back David Johnson (more on that here). Not much has changed on that front. Head coach Bruce Arians said he’s not getting his hopes up for Palmer or Johnson to return.
