Everton do not need to spend a "big amount" in order to build the squad Carlo Ancelotti wants.

The Blues boss is convinced that he can add the right players in the next two summer transfer windows without splashing the cash.

Everton spent just over £60m on buying Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Ben Godfrey last summer as they added James Rodriguez for free and Robin Olsen on loan.

Those additions improved the squad "a lot" according to Ancelotti who sees more savvy work in the market the next two summer windows giving him the players he believes will take the Blues into the Champions League on a regular basis.

"It will be important, the next transfer window and it will be important the transfer window the year after," Ancelotti said.

"We don't have a lot of things immediately.
