Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Everton want to seal a permanent deal for on-loan goalkeeper Robin Olsen.

The Swedish international joined from Roma on a season-long loan in the final hours of transfer deadline day after a similar spell at fellow Serie A club Cagliari last season.

Olsen, who initially moved to the Italian capital for a €12m fee from FC Copenhagen in 2018 as a replacement for Liverpool-bound Alisson, made his Premier League debut at Newcastle United in November to replace Jordan Pickford, who had played 120 consecutive matches in the competition.

The 30-year-old has subsequently featured in the 2-0 Premier League win at Leicester City and the 2-0 Carabao Cup exit to Manchester United.
