The full All-Star Game rosters will be unveiled in a few hours, but it's very safe to say Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright will be named to the NL squad. The big right-hander has gone 11-5 with a 2.36 ERA this year, and he leads the league in innings (133 2/3), complete games (four), shutouts (two) and K/BB ratio (9.00). He's not just an All-Star, he's a Cy Young candidate. Wainwright will not be pitching in the All-Star Game 10 days from now, however. St. Louis has rearranged its rotation to make sure their ace starts two games before the break. The rules say that if a starter pitches on the Sunday before the All-Star break, they cannot pitch in the actual All-Star Game. Wainwright will still get the honor of being elected to the game, but he'll watch from the bench.
