The Arizona Cardinals officially placed QB Carson Palmer on the reserve/retired list on Monday. This move is a just a formality for the Cardinals, as Palmer announced his retirement from the NFL over a month ago. By placing Palmer on the reserve/retired list, Arizona ensures that they own his rights if he wants to come out of retirement at some point. Palmer, 38, is a former first-round pick of the Bengals back in 2003. He played seven years for Cincinnati before he was traded to the Raiders.
