The St. Louis Cardinals and right-hander Miles Mikolas agreed to a two-year, $40-million contract extension, sources told Jesse Rogers of ESPN.
Mikolas, who was also named the starter for Opening Day on March 30 against the Toronto Blue Jays, would've been eligible to test free agency after the 2023 campaign.
