Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu not only played a full season for the first time in his career, he also played more snaps than any other player in the NFL. Mathieu’s total of 1,261 snaps was one more than Titans cornerback Adoree’ Jackson, who also played 12 plays on offense. Mathieu played 1,046 snaps on defense and 231 on special teams. Those figures are based on a chart produced by the Titans. That should help Mathieu’s case when it comes to the big decision the Cardinals must make by this spring. If Mathieu is on the roster at the start of the 2018 “league year” (March 14), he’s guaranteed to make $19 million in 2018-19.
