On Monday the Washington Capitals signed 19-year-old forward Kody Clark to a three-year, entry-level contract with an $870,000 AAV. The Capitals selected Clark with pick 47 in the second round of the 2018 NHL Draft.
Clark was the 34th ranked forward on the NHL Central Scouting pre-draft rankings and 63rd on Bob McKenzie’s list. The forward played on the Capitals’ rookie tournament team over the summer and scored two goals.
Clark currently plays in the OHL for the Ottawa 67’s and tallied 18 goals and 21 assists in 56 games last season. He has 3 goals and 1 assist through 14 games this year.
