The Orlando Magic on Thursday fired GM Rob Hennigan after five years on the job and will be looking for new leadership. They could consider hiring a president of basketball operations who chooses a GM, or they could just fill Hennigan’s shoes with a general manager replacement. One name that was mentioned as a potential target for the Magic was former player Grant Hill. However, Hill has said he is “not interested” in a front office role with the team. Hill is a minority owner of the Atlanta Hawks and would have to divest in order to become an employee for another team.
