The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with DE Ropati Pitoitua on a multi-year contract. He was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on March 11. In his first season with the Titans last year, Pitoitua set career highs for starts (13), tackles (91) and sacks (4.0). His tackle total led all Tennessee defensive linemen and his sack tally ranked third on the team. Pitoitua has played four full seasons in the NFL with stints for the New York Jets (2008-11), Kansas City Chiefs (2012) and Tennessee (2013). For his career, he has played in 53 games, registered 164 tackles and seven sacks. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2008 with the Jets from Washington State.
