If you thought year two of P.K. Subban playing against the Canadiens in Montreal was going to be drama-free, think again. On a night that began with a candid interview aired during the pregame with Sportsnet and finished with Subban celebrating the Predators shootout victory, Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher was critical of his former teammate when asked about Subban postgame. "It's just battling hard. He was talking, doing what he does," Gallagher said, according to Sportsnet's Eric Engels. "But, like I said, I don't know why we're talking about him. That's kind of what he wants. He came in here and tried to make it about P.K. Subban, which is what he does." Gallagher had a run-in in the first period with Subban when Gallagher, who was Subban's teammate in Montreal for four seasons, tried to throw a big check on Subban. The Predators defenseman dodged the hit attempt and Gallagher fell awkwardly to the ice, and briefly exited the game.
