The Canadian Tire Centre is now the new name for the home of the Ottawa Senators. The announcement was made Tuesday morning by Senators owner Eugene Melynk. The deal includes the building, digital, scoreboard signage and on-ice images. Canadian Tire Centre replaces Scotiabank Place. Scotiabank has opted out of a $20 million 15 year contract. It signed the contract in 2006. Scotiabank says it will invest more money into community hockey programs in the capital.
