The NFLPA said “many” Patriots would be skipping OTAs, but Cam Newton isn’t one of them.

The quarterback is actually leading the voluntary workouts in Foxborough on Monday, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss. Much has been made of Newton’s lack of an offseason in 2020 — he didn’t arrive until late July — and the veteran seems intent on not missing anything this time around.

Newton also (literally) has added incentive to attend OTAs: There’s a $100,000 workout bonus in his new one-year deal, per Over The Cap.
