The California Golden Bears’ busy offseason of scheduling non-conference opponents continued on Tuesday with a pair of home-and-home series. Cal will meet with both Minnesota and Wyoming in the 2028 and 2029 seasons.

In 2028, Cal will host Wyoming (Sept. 2) and travel to Minnesota (Sept. 16). Those two series will flip in 2029 by hosting Minnesota (Sept. 1) and traveling to Wyoming (Sept. 8).

Cal’s series with Big Ten opponent Minnesota will be the first meeting in nearly 20 years between the two Power-5 programs. Cal last defeated Minnesota 35-21 on the road in 2009 with five Jahvid Best touchdowns. Cal also won a 2006 home game against the Golden Gophers 42-17. When including the other four meetings from 1951 to 1987, Cal holds a 4-2 all-time series lead over Minnesota.

Cal’s series with Mountain West opponent Wyoming will be just the second and third all-time meetings against the Cowboys. Cal’s lone game against Wyoming was a 17-15 win in the 1990 Copper Bowl.
