Buster Olney has quite the prediction for the fate of Cleveland Indians superstar Francisco Lindor.
With a bit of a financial bind in play (to say the least), the long-time insider believes that the Indians will trade their franchise star to the Yankees in the offseason.
.@Buster_ESPN thinks the Indians will have Lindor trade conversations this winter. More likely to get a big haul for a position player in the off-season: "I think he'll end up with the Yankees."— Aaron Goldhammer (@HammerNation19) June 12, 2019
Olney contests that the Indians would likely get a larger haul for him if they dealt him once the season had ended.
If Lindor were to end up in pinstripes, it would almost certainly displace current shortstop Didi Gregorius, a fan favorite who has been more than serviceable during his tenure with the Yankees.
