Making an injury rehab start at Single-A Bradenton on Friday, Pirates pitcher A.J. Burnett gave up one run and two hits in 42/3 innings against the St. Lucie Mets. Burnett, who had surgery March 2 to repair a fractured right orbital bone, struck out five and walked one. He threw 43 strikes on 67 pitches. "I probably could have (gone) more out there, but they have an idea about what they want to do. They have a program and we`re sticking with it," Burnett said.
