Somebody brought Heat fans the heads of Eva Longoria for Sunday’s Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Then, security collected those heads after a few minutes. The reason for Longoria’s head on a stick? A potential distraction for San Antonio star point guard and Longoria ex-husband Tony Parker when he got to the free-throw line. Memphis fans carried the oversized Longoria heads during their team’s Western Conference final loss to San Antonio. Though some members of the Heat Xtreme Team pep squad helped distribute the Parker-targeted props Sunday, the Heat said this wasn’t a team production at all. Heat spokesman Tim Donovan said: “Someone who paid to go attend the game [at AmericanAirlines Arena] brought them and were handing them out. He asked members of the Xtreme Team to hand them out, which they did. Until we saw what was going on, then we stopped it. We said, ‘No, we’re not doing this.’ ” Longoria, a former star of a daytime soap opera ( The Young and the Restless) and nighttime soap ( Desperate Housewives), found her life transformed into a public soap opera. As she divorced Parker in 2010 after three years of marriage, the media learned that one of Parker’s paramours was teammate Brent Barry’s soon-to-be ex-wife. Still, the Corpus Christi, Texas, native and Texas A&M-Kingsville graduate clung to her Spurs’ fandom. On Thursday, Longoria tweeted “Go, Spurs, go! I say Spurs in 5!!!” That night, Parker took apart the Heat with a game-high 21 points and six assists while committing zero turnovers. Parker sealed the game by dribbling like a slalom skier around almost the entire Heat team, nearly losing the ball several times, skidding to the floor then popping up under Heat star LeBron James to hit a bank shot as the shot clock expired.
