Buccaneers running back Doug Martin said yesterday he was holding out hope for a return from his shoulder injury. But the Bucs also know the clock’s ticking, and won’t wait much longer. According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, the Bucs will make a decision on Martin’s future prior to Monday’s game against the Dolphins, and they’re leaning toward placing him on season-ending injured reserve. Martin didn’t practice Thursday, and hasn’t since injuring his shoulder Oct. 20. He’ll eventually need surgery to repair the damage, though he was hoping to rehab it to the point he could play.
