With fullback Jed Collins unsigned, the New Orleans Saints are keeping their options open as the team hosted Buccaneers free-agent fullback Erik Lorig for a visit during the open signing period, a source confirmed. Lorig played for Tampa Bay the past four seasons as serving as the Bucs' primary fullback the past three seasons. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Lorig caught 11 passes for 47 yards in 2013 and hasn't rushed the ball at all in his four years in Tampa Bay. The Saints didn't tender Collins as he was originally a restricted free agent. Collins became an unrestricted free agent March 11. New Orleans was interested in bringing Collins back to the team despite not issuing a tender, a source said.
