The Milwaukee Bucks faithful are now holding their breath after news emerged of Giannis Antetokounmpo spraining his ankle on Thursday against the Houston Rockets. The Bucks have confirmed that the reigning back-to-back MVP has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
This report comes directly via the Bucks on Twitter:
This does not sound good for Antetokounmpo who has been on a tear for the Bucks of late. Giannis looked like he was in some considerable pain right after the injury and it wasn’t long before he had to take a trip to the locker room. Antetokounmpo was unable to return and based on this most recent update, it looks like the Bucks superstar could be spending some time on the shelf here.
