The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will lose Danny Gorrer for at least eight weeks but re-sign a defensive tackle. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed cornerback Danny Gorrer on injured reserve but designated him for return. This means he could return to the squad after week eight of the regular season at the earliest. Gorrer suffered a groin injury in the first week of preseason and had injury last week which was initially supposed to keep him out for four to six weeks. Losing Gorrer certainly hurts the Bucs' cornerback depth as the veteran was earning praise throughout the offseason and played very well in the handful of snaps he received before suffering his injury. The Bucs are left with Darrelle Revis Leonard Johnson Johnthan Banks Michael Adams and Rashaan Melvin at cornerback. Another injuries could put them back in 2012 territory quickly.
