Flyers coach Peter Laviolette studied the schedule, thought it over, talked to his coaches and then decided against giving Ilya Bryzgalov a chance to make it three shutouts in a row and four in five games Sunday night. Believing his hot goalie was overdue for a rest after 11 starts in a row, Laviolette went into a game with backup Sergei Bobrovsky in the net for the first time in a month. His plan didn't work: Bobrovsky allowed four goals, three in the third period, and the Flyers' five-game winning streak ended with a 4-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils.
