Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper was forced to leave Friday night's game against San Diego with what looked like a left thumb injury. As can be easily seen, the issue came up when he slid head-first into third base and caught his thumb area awkwardly. Nate McLouth took Harper's spot in the lineup. After the game, it was revealed that X-rays were negative and Harper will be re-evaluated Saturday. For now, neither Harper nor the Nationals believe it is serious and they're calling it a jammed thumb. (Mark Zuckerman).
