This one was destined for overtime on Thursday night at the TD Garden but a re-direction from the slot by David Krejci on a shot from the point by Adam McQuaid with 0.8 seconds left in regulation gave the Bruins a 2-1 win over the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks outshot the Bruins 39-17 and Tuukka Rask stood on his head throughout. Boston broke a scoreless game with 1:12 left in the second period as Jarome Iginla scored his first goal as a Bruin. Iginla put home a Dennis Seidenberg shot that went wide and bounced out to the other side of the net. Seidenberg let one rip from the left point and the puck went wide left and bounced off the boards and out to the right post where Iginla quickly put a low shot on net. The puck got through the legs of Niemi and gave the B's a 1-0 lead entering the third period.
