According to Ian Rapoport, the Browns and Vikings are two teams to watch for free agent QB A.J. McCarron next month. McCarron officially won his grievance against the Bengals on Thursday and will now be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. Regarding the Browns, Cleveland nearly completed a trade for McCarron before last year’s trade deadline but didn’t get the details sent to the NFL office in time. Browns HC Hue Jackson is a big supporter of McCarron, so it wouldn’t come as a big surprise to see them in the mix over the next month or so. As for the Vikings, they have a lot to sort out a quarterback, considering that Case Keenum, Sam Bradford and Teddy Bridgewater are all in line to be free agents. I’m sure they’ll consider all of their available options including McCarron before deciding who will be their starter for the 2018 season.
