The Browns signed fifth-round draft pick Nick Harris to his four-year rookie contract worth about $3.6 million, a league source told cleveland.com.

Harris will be groomed to replace JC Tretter at center down the road, but will also have a chance to compete at right guard with Wyatt Teller and others.

“For all these guys, it’s a chance for them to come in and compete and add depth to the roster,’’ Browns West Coast scout Adam Al-Khayyal said on draft day of selecting Harris No. 160 overall.
