The Denver Broncos have asked the Pittsburgh Steelers for permission to interview linebackers coach/senior defensive assistant Brian Flores for their defensive coordinator position, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Flores previously interviewed for the Broncos’ head coach opening in 2019. He later filed a lawsuit against the team (and other parties) claiming that the team interviewed him merely to satisfy the NFL’s Rooney Rule. Denver strongly denied the allegations, calling them “blatantly false.”
