After not earning a contract this summer, centre Brian Boyle has committed to the Florida Panthers eight games into their season.

The 34-year-old has played over 750 games for six different teams through his 12-year career, scoring a total of 124 goals and 216 points.

Most recently, the NHL veteran was part of the Nashville Predators in 2018-19 after a mid-season trade from the New Jersey Devils sent him to the championship-hopeful Central division team. Through 73 games between both clubs, Boyle scored 18 goals and 24 points — the second-most goals he has had in a season.
