The Milwaukee Brewers received some good news on the injury front following their 5-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Saturday night. Segura inadvertently took a bat to the face from teammate Ryan Bruan while he was warming up in the first inning (see video below) and isn't expected to miss an extended period of time. Segura did, however, sustain a "pretty good gash over his eye" that required stitches, according to the team's pitching coach. Braun had this to say about the incident after the game: You never want to see something like that. It breaks your heart a little bit. Obviously, it’s never something done intentionally but whenever you’re involved in a situation like that it puts life in perspective and you realize how insignificant. Thank God, from everything we’ve heard he’s OK. It could have been a lot worse.
