MLB Trade Rumors is reporting tonight that the Brewers have reached a deal on a one-year contract with center fielder Carlos Gomez, avoiding arbitration. Gomez will receive $4.3 million for the 2013 season, according to Adam McCalvy. The Dominican center fielder made $1.9625 million in 2012 plus $25,000 in incentives. Gomez and the Brewers were scheduled to exchange salary proposals tomorrow as part of the arbitration process. Barring another last-minute deal the team will still swap dollar figures with John Axford, Burke Badenhop and Marco Estrada.
