The Tigers have been scoring runs more consistently in recent days, and in doing so they have eliminated two streaks that showed how they had been lacking power. When Brennan Boesch and Austin Jackson homered Tuesday night, it marked the first time in more than three weeks that the Tigers had hit at least two homers in a game. That came a few days after Jackson hit a three-run homer in Tampa Bay. That was the Tigers' first three-run homer in more than five weeks.
