The Braves announced that right-hander Chris Martin has been placed on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to April 7) due to inflammation in his throwing shoulder.  Righty Jacob Webb was called up from the alternate site to take Martin’s 26-man roster spot.

Martin hasn’t pitched since April 4, when he was removed from a game after feeling some numbness in his right fingers.  The issue wasn’t deemed serious enough for an MRI and Braves manager Brian Snitker said just yesterday that he hoped Martin would be available as early as today’s game against the Phillies, so the shoulder inflammation could be a relatively new issue.
