The Atlanta Braves have been quiet in the lead up to the trade deadline but have now moved to strengthen their outfield. The Braves have acquired Eddie Rosario from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for infielder Pablo Sandoval. Cleveland will send along some money to cover part of Rosario’s remaining contract.
Rosario is currently on the injured list with an abdominal injury and is expected to miss a couple of more weeks. He appeared in 78 games with the Indians prior to the injury and was hitting .254/.296/.389 with seven home runs.
