Not much has gone right for the Milwaukee Brewers in the month of May, and the team's struggles on the field has hurt a popular promotion. Originally, fans could get $1 off a terrace box ticket for the June 3-5 series against Oakland with each Brewers victory in May. Since Milwaukee has won just five games this month, the promotion wasn't giving fans as big of a discount as the team had hoped. Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun stepped up and made a financial contribution to cover up to 4,000 tickets for each of the three games against Oakland. Fans can now grab terrace box tickets (regularly $24) or a loge bleacher ticket (regularly $23) for just $8, matching Braun's uniform number. "We recognize that this has been a tough month for all of us; not just the players but also the fans," Braun said in a statement. "The one constant has been the support of the community, and every one of us on the field has tremendous respect for the support we receive from the fans. On behalf of all of us on the field, we want to thank the fans and let them know that we really appreciate everyone being behind us during this rough stretch."
