The Blue Jays pitching rotation took a major blow — if just for the short-term — on Tuesday with the announcement that Brandon Morrow is headed to the disabled list. The right-hander left Toronto's 6-3 loss to the Washington Nationals on Monday in the first inning after throwing just nine pitches. Tests conducted on Tuesday afternoon confirmed the original diagnosis of a strained left oblique muscle and eliminated the possibility of there being any fractures to his ribcage. However, manager John Farrell said there still is no projected date on when Morrow will be able to return to the lineup.
