St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has assigned forward Ivan Barbashev to the American Hockey League's (AHL) Chicago Wolves, and forward Sammy Blais to the AHL's San Antonio Rampage. Barbashev, 21, has dressed in six games for the Blues this season. In 2016-17, the 6-foot, 187-pound forward appeared in 30 regular season games for the Blues, posting 12 points (five goals, seven assists) and two penalty minutes. Barbashev also played in 46 regular season games for the Wolves, logging 37 points (19 goals, 18 assists) and 14 penalty minutes. The Moscow, Russia, native was originally drafted by the Blues in the second round (No. 33 overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
