Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons does not expect Troy Tulowitzki to be ready for opening day, although he indicates the shortstop is moving in the right direction in his recovery from injury. Tulowitzki has been limited during spring training due to a chronic bone spur on his right heel. His 2017 season ended with a right ankle sprain suffered on July 28, and though the ankle’s progressing well, he aggravated a previously existing bone spur while conditioning afterwards.
