Infielder Brett Lawrie will return to the Blue Jays in time for Tuesday’s opener of a key series against the Orioles. Lawrie has missed 36 games with a broken right index finger and made three rehab appearances with Class-A Dunedin. There was speculation he would need more rehab at the Double-A level, but the Jays — who just ended a 10-game road trip with three losses in Houston — opted to recall the third baseman, who occasionally sees time at second. The Jays said they would announce a move to clear space for Lawrie before Tuesday night’s game at the Rogers Centre.
