The Toronto Blue Jays' battered bullpen received some good news on Sunday with pitching coach Pete Walker announcing Jordan Romano should be available on April 25 when his 10-day injured list stint expires.
Romano, who has been a candidate to close games after Kirby Yates' season-ending Tommy John surgery, was placed on the injured list with ulnar neuritis on April 15.
"The bottom line is he feels good," Walker said, adding that Romano will throw a side session on Sunday. "He feels great... (It was) just maybe a little freak thing that irritated him a little bit but nothing alarming. We just decided to be very safe and cautious with him and give him more than a couple of days but he should be ready to go when his time is up."
