Bo Bichette's hot streak to start his career reached record-breaking territory Tuesday, as the shortstop registered a hit for his ninth straight game and set a new club mark for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Bichette then became the first player in MLB history to record 10 extra-base hits in his first nine games with a double down the line in the seventh inning.

Entering the series against the Tampa Bay Rays, Bo, the son of former big leaguer Dante, had been on a torrid pace to start his MLB career, boasting a .417/.462/.833 slash line with three homers and six doubles.
