The Toronto Blue Jays have officially assigned Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to minor-league camp, according to a statement obtained by Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun.

Guerrero, the league's top prospect according to MLB Pipeline, suffered a left oblique injury March 8 and was given a recovery timetable of three weeks.

The 19-year-old was posting a .211/.250/.316 slash line with two doubles over 19 at-bats this spring prior to his injury.
