The Yankees sent a much stronger lineup to start their second game of spring training, and the results weren't great. But what happened to Curtis Granderson is the far more worrying result. Granderson was hit by a pitch, on the forearm, in the first inning. He had to be removed from the game, and was taken for X-rays, where it was revealed that he has a broken arm and will be out for ten weeks. This is not good. You can read more about that here. Everything else that happened in the game seems a little less important after the injury, but let's touch on what happened. The Yankees started with a lineup that feasibly could be one that starts a regular season game. The results: 11 hits and 0 runs. As a team, the Yankees went 0-7 with runners in scoring position. That sounds painfully familiar. But it is just spring training, and the first appearance for many, which has to be remembered.
