The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired right wing Mathieu Olivier (pronounced oh-LIHV-ee-ay) from the Nashville Predators in exchange for a 2022 fourth round pick previously acquired from Toronto (122nd overall), Blue Jackets General Manager and Alternate Governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Olivier, 25, who was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, is the first player born in the state to play in the NHL in League history. He has collected three goals and four assists for seven points with 88 penalty minutes in 48 career games with the Predators since making his NHL debut in 2019-20. He registered 0-1-1 and 14 penalty minutes in 10 outings with the team in 2021-22.
