The Chicago Blackhawks signed goaltender Arvid Söderblom to a two-year, entry-level contract with a $883,750 salary cap hit Thursday.

Söderblom, 21, was second in the Swedish Hockey League with a .922 save percentage, shared second with a 2.03 goals-against average and four shutouts in 22 regular-season games during the 2020-21 season for Skellefteå AIK. The 6-foot-3, 179 lb goalie also had a .951 save percentage and 1.54 goals-against average in two playoff games.
