Philipp Kurashev was a sparkplug for the Swiss at the 2019 World Junior Championship, and now the Blackhawks hope he'll do the same for their organization after signing him to a three-year deal Tuesday.

The contract, which has an AAV of $925,000, runs through the 2021-22 season.

In seven games with Switzerland at the premier junior event, the alternate captain led all players with six goals and finished seventh, and led Switzerland, with seven points. The Munsingen, SUI native also skated for his country at the 2018 tournament where he had a goal and two assists.
