Spring training is less than a month away and it's clear MLB teams are way less active in free agency than last offseason. The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has led to wide-scale payroll slashing, and even with a recent uptick in hot stove activity, there are still dozens of quality players sitting in free agency.
As of this writing only 24 of our top 60 free agents have signed, including only four of the top 14. That means there are 36 top 60 free agents looking for work at the moment, and of course there are plenty of teams across the league with roster deficiencies to address before spring training. More signings (and trades) will go down in the coming weeks.
With that in mind, let's examine the remaining unsigned top 60 free agents and figure out their best fit for 2021. The best fit for the player and the best fit for the team as well, since free agency is a two-way street. Let's dive in, shall we?
