The NBA is overflowing with talent. In 2022, all sorts of players can find an opportunity to play like a star.

The number of star guards in the league is incredible. Meanwhile, both of last year’s leading MVP candidates in 2021-22 were big men. At the same time, everyone’s looking for a jumbo playmaker.

In fact, if you had to choose one archetype to build your team around, that would probably be the one.

Plus-sized playmakers have the ability to see over defenses and work themselves into any defensive scheme. There’s a reason such player types are highly coveted.

Nobody needs to tell the Orlando Magic that. In fact between Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, they’re trying to forge an identity based on such players.

With that in mind, would it shock anyone if they acquired another one?

If they’re interested in doing so, here’s a deal that has them landing Ben Simmons:

Brooklyn Nets Receive: G/F Gary Harris, G/F Terrance Ross, F Chuma Okeke, G/F Caleb Houstan, 2024 First-Round Pick (Top 5 Protected – ORL)

Orlando Magic Receive: G/F Ben Simmons
