Third baseman Adrian Beltre is convinced that his latest strained left hamstring is a minor injury that won't require a stint on the 15-day disabled list. He will have an MRI exam today before the Texas Rangers open a three-game series against New York. Beltre is expecting to miss only a few games with a strain he suffered Saturday in Game 1 of a doubleheader. "We'll go from there," he said. Beltre is confident that the exam will be clean because this strain doesn't feel as serious as the ones he suffered July 22 and Aug. 6 that kept him out of the Rangers' lineup for more than a month last season.
