Bears GM Ryan Pace told reporters on Wednesday at the Combine that they’ve informed QB Mike Glennon that they will release him at the start of the 2018 league year in March, per Rich Campbell. Pace explained that there’s a mechanism in his contract that prevents the transaction from being finalized until the new league year. The expectation has been that Chicago was going to be moving on from Glennon after just one season, so this doesn’t come as a big surprise.
