Baylor junior guard Davion Mitchell — a potential lottery pick — declared for the 2021 NBA Draft on Tuesday, according to his Instagram page. Mitchell's plans to declare were first reported by The Athletic last week.

Mitchell led Baylor to the national championship on Monday, completing a breakout season in which he was named the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year and was first-team All-Big 12. Mitchell averaged 14 points and 5.5 assists per game for the Bears. He had 15 points, six rebounds and five assists in Baylor's 86-70 win over Gonzaga in the title game.

Mitchell is the No. 11 player on Sam Vecenie's NBA Draft Big Board.
